The E16 is a classic shirt, inspired by mid-century American workwear, we have designed it from the ground up referencing vintage examples but adjusting the cut for a contemporary regular fit.

Made from a beautifully soft cotton flannel woven in Japan by Collect Mills, this shirt features a red and black ombré plaid that balances warmth, texture, and depth of colour.

Fabric and Trims

  • Cotton Flannel from Japanese mill Collect Mills
  • Matching dual duty thread by Coats (polyester core with cotton outer)
  • Black buttons from London Trimmings.
  • Branded labels are woven in Wales by GB Labels
  • The swing tag twine is hemp, so can be composted or reused
    • Cold wash only, or the denim will shrink by 5%
    • Wash inside out with mild detergent or none at all
    • They are Sanforized so will shrink in the length up to 1″, but shouldn’t shrink in the width
    • Raw denim will give up to a 1 1/2″ in the waistband, so the fit should be snug (but not restrictive) to compensate
