This month, we had the pleasure of hosting Marc and Eleni from Bowhill & Elliott, a distinguished shoemaker based in Norwich, as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting like-minded UK craftsmanship. Bowhill & Elliott, with a heritage spanning 145 years, is celebrated for its exceptional handmade slippers, crafted using traditional techniques.
Eleni, the skilled artisan overseeing clicking & pattern design at Bowhill & Elliott, presented an exclusive demonstration, offering a firsthand look at the meticulous artistry behind their exquisite slippers. Dedicated to preserving time-honoured methods, Eleni showcased the intricate process involved in crafting each pair, emphasising the careful attention to detail and the use of traditional techniques that define the brand.
Our customers enjoyed this up-close experience, gaining insight into the craftsmanship and design process that transforms raw materials into luxurious footwear, including a traditional kilim which was being used to make a slipper.
