In 2018, electronic and electrical waste reached 50 million tonnes, with the majority of items either being burned in the landfill they were discarded in, or the precious metals leach into our soil and waterways. It’s noted that even though recycling is on the rise, there still is a low percentage of materials making it back into our production streams. How to combat this? Repair your electrical items.

How to get involved?

Armstrong Audio, locals to our Walthamstow factory, will be at our store offering an advice drop-in for your broken or damaged audio equipment. They will be here repairing rare audio items to showcase their “craftsman’s approach to repair”, and will offer advice on your own audio equipment.

Armstrong Audio may be able to do repairs on your items if they’re a quick fix, but to avoid disappointment, it would be beneficial to send over an email. They can then advise on cost, time and strategy.

Email with the subject header CDY Enquiry.

All audio equipment booked in for repair or restoration undergoes a diagnostics check to identify the fault(s) and how Armstrong Audio intend on repairing it. Once diagnosed, the repair fee is agreed with you before proceeding to complete the repair. You can read up more on their costs here.
